9F6E is an EMV Data Tag that is called many different things. For the Contactless interface, American Express and MasterCard use this Tag to identify the
Form Factor Indicator (FFI), Device Type, or Payment Initation Channel - which are all essentially the same thing, for the purposes of the data.
If the Device Type is captured in Contactless EMV transactions, the value will appear in Data Element 48, Subelement 23 in the ISO 8583 message.
